This has been brought up before ( https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/adaptive-sketch-not-updating-when-referenced-part-chan... )

I'm trying to find a cause. Going into the Document Settings and turning off the adaptivity works to allow new projections to be referenced, but after working for a while the problem comes back in the same file.

I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing that makes it come back. Any ideas? @johnsonshiue ?

Hi Jim,

There are a few known workflows leading to unassociative projected sketch geometry. To facilitate the discussion, it is better to see the actual files. Please share the files in zip here or send it to me directly at johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!
