Adaptive Sketch Not Updating When Referenced Part Changes

I have opened a part within an assembly, created a sketch, and projected the geometry of another part within the assembly onto the sketch.  The sketch automatically becomes Adaptive and no errors appear.  I then used that geometry to create an Extrusion within the part.  Everything looks fine with both the Extrusion and Sketch showing to be adaptive and the Reference part showing up under the sketch.

The problem is that when I move the part used for reference in the shared assembly, the projected features on the adaptive part do not move with it.  All of the features in the sketch are locked with a Reference Constraint, but for some reason are not following their reference.

I have used this technique many times over the years without ever seeing this issue.  This is my first time doing it with Inventor Professional 2025, so I thought something may have changed.  However, I created some simple parts and placed them in their own assembly to try the same method, and everything worked normally.

I clicked Rebuild All, and it first prompted me to check out over 100 unrelated parts and assemblies, none of which were adaptive or had any need for updating.  There was no change to the adaptive sketch though.

Hi Dustin,

Either there are preexisting failed constraints or there is a bug somewhere. Please share the files that exhibits the behavior. I would like to understand the adaptive sketch update issue better.

Many thanks!
