Problem with Lightning Source - Inventor does not find them

Hello!

I have the Problem, that I get an error message whenever I want to try to load a Lightning Source. (see attached picture)

In Inventor 2020 everything works fine! But in 2021 I have the Problem! I can find the Folder with all the Environments and I didn't change anything in the Design Data. It seams that Inventor 2021 does not find the path to the Environments.

It does not work in both Language Packs English and German. I installed the English Inventor first and then the German Language Pack. For Inventor 2020 I did it the other way round.

Do You know a solution for this?

Hi! I believe the lighting style files should be stored in the Public folder.

"C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2021\Environments\"

Please check if the lighting style files are there.

Hello i have the same problem, my public folder is there and all the styles are in.

How or where can i change the source.

Hi! It is still unclear to me why the style cannot be found. Below is a snapshot of the "OldWarehouse" lighting style related files. Please check and see if you have them.

Maybe there is a user profile issue. Try running Inventor as Admin (right-click on Inventor icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Run as Admin).

All the related files are there. Also a try as admin did not solve the problem.

Can it be an issue into the project file or more the application options.

We did a test on another station with the same user.

No problem at all. All the environments where available.

Hope you have quick check for the right settings.

maybe some issues whith the Laptop, hope we find something.

Hi from Vienna!

In my case the problem was caused by the situation that I prefer to have the user accounts an a different partition than C:\.

Besides of some products (eg. Inventor) almost all software recognizes this during Installation. Especially Inventor "splits up" the folders - some folders are still in the Public Documents in the UserFolder on C:\. ans some are copied correctly to the destination I defined for the user folders on another partition! That is strange.

Inventor looks at the user defined Folder but the necessary folder for this case  (\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2021\Environments) is just on C:\.

For me it helped to copy this "Environments" folder to the Folder "userdefined Partition"\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2021\ and it workes!

It didn't work out for me unfortunately, I have no other folder than my original.

(C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2021\Environments) just on C:\

For now I can work with it but I have to find out where the problem is.
