Hi! I ran into a bit of problem with my design. Any insights would be very much appreciated. Apparently, no one in my department could solve this issue as I ask around. Here it goes.
I created a curved surface by sweeping two sinusoidal equations in parallel. That is great, but I would like to extend the entire feature to be thicker. I can't find my way to it. As I was browsing for solution, I noticed how simple it is for Solid Works. I wonder if there are ways I could get that effect.
Link to do that in solid works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-4fkFrjBTA
Please advise.

Hi!
I don't know precisely what you want to achieve, but based in the youtube video, you have several ways to do the same in Inventor.
Check my video below... it's only one of the ways...
Tip: it's not a good idea to have the sketch crossing the surface.
Create the sketch plane in a most favorable position.
(Understand why?!)
=.=!
I cannot believe it is that easy. Thank you! This has been immensely helpful, believe of not.
Basically, I did not know the thicken and offset function.
Hi!
If you are looking to engrave... check also the tool "EMBOSS"
