Problem Symetry not contraint

Hello everyone 😁😁

 

I'm encountering a small problem when trying to use the symmetry option in the assembly environment. When I select the option, the resulting piece isn't constrained.

 

 

I've attached a GIF to illustrate the issue better. Why is this happening?

Not 100% sure because the window that you are showing is either a Copy or Mirror component function within an assy and is typically not something you would use to constrain something symmetrically - depends if you are also trying to create something new that is symmetric.  

 

Not sure any of this helped!

I need just copy and constraint the element but I don't know why if i mark the option of create symetry constraint, inventor doesn't create it.  For example into SolidWorks, when you create a symetry into the assembly envirement the part it's automatically constrainted.

Hi! This is a limitation in Inventor Mirror Component workflow. On mirroring the selected components, if their constraints involve non-mirror participants, those constraints will not be replicated. It is because Inventor does not know how to reconstruct those constraints on the mirrored side.

The constraints are "replicated" only when they are between mirror source components. We are aware of the request and we are working on a project to enhance the workflow. In this scenario I would rather use pattern than a separate component.

 

Depending on the case it would be angular patterns to make a symmetric arrangement.
