Hello.
In the attachment you will see that there is no presentation TAB ... is this new for 2017?
Regards
Bernard
Odd, you should see this:
System spec's would help. You might need to run the Inventor Registry program and make sure that everything installed correctly.
Re-Register Inventor
1. open a command prompt as administrator
2. type :"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2017\Bin\Inventor.exe" /install
3. Wait for about 30 seconds & then retry Inventor
RMB on the Ribbon Menu, Under the drop down menu for Ribbon Appearance, select the "Reset Ribbon", this will reset the Ribbon Menu.
If Blair's idea doesn't work ..
Try the Inventor reset Utility
Or a repair install from the Control panel
I have seen this before and these 2 options should resolve it
Also make sure you have all of the updates installed
Mike
I'm starting to think you may need to uninstall Inventor using the Autodesk Uninstall tool from the Start Menu: Start>Autodesk>Uninstall Tool.
Then do a fresh install of Inventor, make sure that you have Administrative Privileges
Did you find an answer to the missing Presentation Tab/Ribbon?
Our work systems have all suffered the same issue following a Windows and Autodesk Update overnight. We need to find a solution to the problem and if that could avoid fresh install on the machines that would be preferable as it would mean a lot of downtime for our CAD Engineers.
Thank you to everyone's contributions so far.
Hi,
You may want to check the User Interfaces option and see that the presentation options are checked off.
Hello,
@Anonymous, @Anonymous, @mdavis22569
Have you ever installed Inventor 2017 Alpha/Beta build and unloaded any addins? The picture Bernard attached probably caused by the unloaded presentation addin. Please run below VBA code to load Presentation addin.
1. Launch Inventor.
2. Alt+F11 to open VBA window.
3. In the Module1, paste below VBA code, and Run.
4. Create a presentation document. If no presentation tab shows restart Inventor and try again, but I assume it's no need to restart.
Sub LoadPresentation() Dim oAddin As ApplicationAddIn For Each oAddin In ThisApplication.ApplicationAddIns If oAddin.DisplayName = "Presentations" Then oAddin.LoadAutomatically = True oAddin.Activate Exit For End If Next oAddin End Sub
Please let me know if it is still not working for you.
Best Regards,
Rachel
Hi @rachel_li
Thanks very much for your answer - this solution worked on all machines used on this morning and saved us a lot of downtime.
Many thanks,
Kristian Baldwin
You have replied to an ancient thread.
Are you running Inventor 2017?
Show screen capture image of what you see on your screen (you can use the built in Windows Snipping tool).
