Presentation scene - wrong visibility on component

I have a presentation file with a scene that uses a specific View Representation (associative) from the parent assembly.  One of the components that is visible in the view rep is invisible in the scene.  There's no visibility override in the storyboard.  When I try to make it visible in the scene, it gives me the message about being associative to a design view with the option to break or override.  Has anyone seen a component "stuck" invisible?  It's invisible regardless of the view rep I select.

Hi! This could be a corrupted scene or corrupted design view. Please share the files that exhibit the behavior here. Forum experts can help take a closer look to understand it better.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the reply, Johnson.  Like most, I can't upload files due to confidentiality concerns.  I'm sure it was a corrupted scene and not something I was doing.  I made a copy of the scene and the issue was still there.  I eventually just recreated the scene from scratch.  If I'm ever able to duplicate it, I'll post more information
