Porcupine Element

Hi 

I'am going to make a porcupine heating element( search in Google) I know i need a lot of plane, but can't finde the right solution.

I need to change the parameters for the increase, and the angel

Hi! It does not have to be this difficult. It looks like you are on Inventor 2017. I am attaching an image showing how to wrap a line around a rounded triangular surface. The 2018 part is also attached. You should be able to do that in 2017.

Hmm, I gave this a bit of thought and think it might be slightly more complex than a wrap around a single triangle.

But it is definitely a pattern and can therefore be significantly simplified.

Hello @San-Teknik thanks for the interesting post!

Not sure of the final intent, but I just drew 1/12th of the line, inserted into assembly and constrained 12 times, then patterned at the Height*12.

 

I couldn't think of any pattern commands that would speed this up.

It's not only about a triangle it's supposed to run.
