Place from Content Center not working

After installing the Inventor 2024.1 Update Place from Content Center is not working for nuts and bolts.
I can still place steel profiles without issue - just the fasteners that aren't working.

No assemblies dated before the update will let me place any nuts and bolts in them.
If I create a new assembly without any parts then I can place nuts & bolts in it.
But if I place any parts in that same assembly, then the placement of nuts and bolts stops working.

Bolted Connection still works as it should.

Really weird behaviour!  But as I mentioned above - this has only started happening after installing the 2024.1 Update.

And it's not just me - it's all of my colleagues, too.

Anyone else seeing this behaviour? Or seen it before and know of a fix?

I am running Inventor 2024.1, and have recently been testing Content Center by placing fasteners in an existing assembly with other parts in it.  All working as expected.  I wonder what's different between our computers?

Hi! If 2024.1 is uninstalled from your machine, does Place from CC work correctly?

Many thanks!

I've just reverted back to Inventor 2024 - Build 153, Release 2024 - Date: Thu 02/16/2023
And I can now place bolts in assemblies again.

Will also add that after upgrading to 2024.1 that I could open the very same fasteners via Open from Content Center that wouldn't place into an assembly.

The problem only occurred when placing fasteners into an assembly when the assembly parts in it.

Is it possible to download the 2024.0.1 update?
We obviously have an issue with the 2024.1 Update and the 2024.0.1 update fixed several issues we had with the initial release.  But 2024.0.1 is no longer available for download via the Autodesk Access/Account.

How can I get a copy of 2024.0.1?

How do we uninstall the Inventor 2024.1 Update?
It doesn't show in "View installed updates"

In my case I had a new PC and fresh install of Windows plus I installed 2024.1 from the get go.
I had to uninstall the Inventor completely and install 2024 initial release.

If my colleagues can avoid uninstalling Inventor by just uninstalling the last update they'd be very grateful.

@johnsonshiue I had the same issue with 2022.5. Reverting back to 2022.4.1 fixed the issue for me.

Hi! This has been reported as INVGEN-70015. The project team is looking into the issue and see how we can address it in multiple updates.

Many thanks!

Hi All

Same Issue here after update to 2024.1 Content center parts will not import. Posted a question on another link prior to finding this thread.

Exactly the same issue, if no other items in the assembly then all works fine. if anything is in the assembly then get a question mark & nothing.

As a work around i am importing into an empty assembly then copying files into the required assembly, seems easier short term than uninstalling and reloading the whole program.

Resolved by blandb in my original post. Autodrop? Must be on by default following the update.
