Pipe and run slip on flange insert removes pipe material

How do I insert a slip-on flange to a pipe without it deleting the pipe underneath it?

I initially ran the pipe from one spot to another, then inserted a flanged valve. I wanted to insert a slip-on to mate with it but the pipe stops short as if to do a buttweld.

Will the program not do it because I initially ran the pipe as a buttweld type?

Hi.  This looks like a simple engagement issue between the flange and the pipe.  Are both of these Standard components from your Content Center, or are they items that you Authored and Published yourself as custom parts?

They are standard to the content center.

I still have this issue when setting the tube and pipe style to flanged, only on buttweld. I was hoping to find a more efficient method of just cutting in a valve and associated flanges rather than having to do new runs.

The issue is probably an engagement mismatch.  Should you be using a slip on flange with a butt weld pipe style?  Maybe you should try the same run with using butt weld flanges as your backing flanges on the valve.  If the but weld flanges are set up in your T&P style, along with the appropriate gasket, placing a flanged valve in the line should result in both gaskets and backing flanges automatically being dropped in on either side.
