Partial miter in combination with Trim

I'm trying to miter a beam that previously was trimmed to a (mid)surface of a connected beam.
When executing the miter, the miter will also cut away to non overlapping material of the connected beam.

How can I do a 'partial' miter such that the vertical beam is miter only with the overlapping horizonal beam (after trim)

Thx

Hi!

The frame generator is a sub-assembly (a special one, but still a sub-assembly) with parts, so, if there are tasks you can do with frame generator tools, nice... if not, you can use the traditional methods.

In this specific case, create the miter (to compute correctly the size of the members*) then, create a sketch + cut extrusion to remove the excess.

*Note: to compute the correct sizes, you have to use FG tools to cut until the size you need, ex: if you place a beam, then you cut it with a simple extrusion, the size in the part list will be the size the beam has in the initial placing. I hope you get the idea.
