Maybe you should upgrade.  It's here in 2018.

I get it.  A lot of us aren't working in the versions by our choice. Smiley Sad

At least you know it is there when you do upgrade.

From what I remember that should be there..

Stock number has been around for a long time (if not from the start) of Inventor..

Have you installed all available updates for your version?

If you don't still see stock number, have you tried creating a custom property column then going and searching for it?

There are two possible reasons:

  1. It's already in the Parts List, possibly under a different name (the selected columns show the column heading name, not necessarily the iProperty name)
  2. Your screen shot shows some properties with names that look French to me; is it possible that the French for Stock Number (Numéro de Stock?) is somewhere else in the list?

that is what i don't want to do, a "work around" because i will need to do it with all old parts, just because we need to add a new column in the part list.

Post another shot of the Column Chooser dialog, showing both sides (and please embed it using the Photos button instead of attaching it).  The names that appear on the right side, the selected properties, are the names of the column headings, not the iProperty names.  Those column headings default to the property name, but if they're changed (via Format Column), the changed name is what shows up in the Column Chooser.  One of those selected properties is probably the Stock Number property.

Hi! It looks like you are using non-English Inventor or the drawing was originally created on a non-English version. "STOCK NUMBER" might be translated to something else.

Many thanks!

Only thing I can think of is to go through each column and use Format Column to find out what iProperty each one is using.  In my example below, the Stock Number property is used by the column headed Mfg #, and that is what is shown in the Column Chooser.
