Part appearance changed? Transparent, but within the IPT? not the IAM

We have a part (Material:Steel), where the Appearance (within the IPT) is overridden to Light Red. There's many like this, they all display the same within the assembly. On this part, at some point, the user noticed that its appearance changed, but doesn't know why. My assumption is that he accidentally changed something, but I can't find it.

The attached models are the same part, one is current, the other is a historical version, gotten thru the Vault. The dark red (name: Light Red) of the rev 5 model is what we want. Why is the "latest" version a transparent pink?

If you remove the color override of both, so they display as the original "Steel", they still appear different. What could have happened to this part?

All of the settings (I'm not an expert) of the appearances, lighting, shadows seem to match between the two versions.

Try that with the latest part:

- Apply another color to it

- Open Material Editor

- In Document appearances delete now Hellrot

- In Inventor Material Library select Hellrot and move it to  Document appearances. (It's not the same definition as the transparent one)

- Change color back to the new Hellrot

I understand that you're just having me replace with a new version from the library. 

What's funny, now, is that we have three different Light Red colors in our library. I see that the icon for one of them is transparent. Apparently, I have more work (cleanup) to do.

Same here. Three identical names for different appearances in Autodesk Appearance Library. It's not the only case.
