Override material properties of an assembly where the parts in the assembly is different

Hello

I have an assembly which consist of some Aisi 316, plastic and brass parts, but overall the assembly is defined as an AISI 316 part when we sell it. The assembly is a part of an bigger assembly and when placed in a drawing with an part list the material of the small assembly is shown as blank. (See attachment 001). This is because the materials varies in the assembly. I’m allowed to override this in the part list, but this is will only be valid for this current drawing. (See attachment 002)

Is it possible to override the material in the assembly so it will show AISI 316 in this and all the future drawings where the assembly is used? (See attachment 002) The material block is locked for editing in the assembly iproperties.

Material assignment cannot be made to the assembly, so it is blank. only weldment assemblies can be assigned material and displayed in a drawing
