Old part with icon different than usual parts

I have an old part with this icon, different than usual parts.

What does it mean?

Multibodies.

There are 3 solid bodies in the part.

That has nothing to do with the part being old.  It is the icon for a multi-body part.  If you created a new part with multiple bodies then it would have the same icon.
