obj export issue

hey,

while generating a .obj file from assembly document with Autodesk Inventor 2018, i see several problems in obj file,

1. sometimes only one file gets exported although there is several parts in the assembly document.

2. some parts are shown in white in FBX review although they have texture in Inventor.

do you have any idea what could be the problem?

Hi, general conditions. Check the export options, put "high".
Keep in mind that if the obj format still causes errors, you might experiment with the stl format, which also generates a mesh. Check also in options that this is called "high". If problems continue to appear in the same components, check that they are not as reference in the Bill of materials. regards

Hi! The behavior does not sound right. Have you installed 2018.3 update followed by 2018.3.4 update? The only logical reason is that you may be in Express mode. Use "Load Full" command to load all the files and then export it to Obj.

Or, share the files here so forum experts can help take a look.

Many thanks!

thanks, Sergio

it is already set to 'High".

also, the problem with STL format is that they do not store texture and UV maps, and I need them to be stored with the exported file so within available export formats in inventor just obj does this.
