I'm trying to section a drawing, and while creating the section view is easy, there are no hatch lines on the section views.  I've attached the drawing I'm working with.

Hi!

Your part is just a composite surface... a shell... doesn't have a solid body, so, you can have a section of "nothing".

To have a section, first You have to turn the surfaces into a solid body.

How do I convert it to a solid body?

Right click and select Repair Bodies...

Select All

Well that didn't work - so we need to dig deeper...

Stitch shows where the issues are...

We enter the Construction Environment and see that there are surfaces that should not exist in the model...

In some cases there are duplicate surfaces overtop of each other...

Use Stitch or Sculpt

Edit:

@JDMather  You're right.

I was reading this post on my phone and didn't check that the geometry is broken.
Thank you for feedback.

Can you demonstrate how to use Stitch or Sculpt with this geometry?

After some struggling... here is the solid...

I will not explain how to do it... (to complex)... but I can give you the part, and now you can have the sections,

That's incredible because I know it wasn't simple and took far more than I could fathom to solve.  Thank you.
