Nesting Utility Update 2019.1

Greetings,

Inventor Update 2019.1 and Nesting Utility 2019.1 using as source an assembly detects parts like washers, bolts, nuts and ipt general parts as sheet metal. Is there any way to use it as it was before the update? Or what's the best way to take only the sheet metal parts with flat pattern? I have +1000 parts assemblies so it takes a long to remove those parts individually

I do not see this behavior.  A part must be a sheet metal part to be even recognized by the nesting routine and must have a flat pattern to be processed.  Your washers, nuts, etc. are not sheet metal parts, they are Content Center Parts or Library components.  Something is strange about the behavior on your system.  Open one of the parts it is finding and make sure it is not being declared as a sheet metal part.

If you cannot find a way to fix your issue, then you can use the "Find" command to automatically select all Content Center Parts and you can them eliminate them for the nesting process.

In the following link https://drive.google.com/open?id=1k24P7Tmd4lMNjYdgmPRRqF1i9YsEvaAU you can see what the problem is. I modeled this parts in the updated version and it takes the bolt that I inserted in the assembly as a part to nest. Before the 2019.1 update, parts without flat pattern didn´t even show in the "add source" window.

Hello @javizloco,

There's a way to do this by disabling the provider that reads regular parts that are not sheet metal. Do this:

Create a new nesting document and disable that provider:

2018-07-24 10_05_48-Providers.png

Then use "Create Nest" from the assembly you want to add into the nesting document and choose "Add to open document":

Now the Sources dialog will show just the sheet metal parts.
