Nesting Utility Dxf Export

When I export a dxf in the nesting utility it gives me a dxf on different layers, the nesting, sheet size, renment, parts list etc

Is there a way to just export the nesting as my cam software picks up all the layers and makes them as if they all are to be cut or do I need to open the nesting in cad and delete everything except the actual nesting??

Hello @Anonymous,

It is not possible to completely disable the additional geometry being exported into the DXF at this point in time, but we do have plans on adding more control on how and what things are exported to DXF. As usual, I can't promise when this will make it into a product release, but I can promise that we are aware of the limitation and we have discussed solutions for this already.

Is anything going on with this? I've got 35 120 x 60 sheets I'm going to have to delete over 1500 pieces of geometry from, manually?

When I was interested in this subject in the past, I read in the AutoCAD forum how they process the files and views using AutoLISP. Maybe if you go to that forum and post your question you'll find some code you can run to lighten your workload?

Actually looking closer at the DXF, it appears all of the non nested entities (sheet outline, dimension text, piece part numbers &file names are all different colors but on their own layer. It's easy enough to turn them off and less time consuming than manually deleting them. Still kind of a strange work flow.
