I have just finished 3 months at a manufacturing company where I was working in Inventor 2018 and doing nesting for plasma cutting using a software called Starcut.
However I still did the planning of the nesting layout in inventor and printed an inventor drawing for the operator to follow before I did the actual nesting itself in Starcut to convert to .cnc for the plasma cut machine
At a previous company I did nesting for plasma cutting using Sheetcam.
I am now searching for my next job, am would definitely like it to be Inventor again. I spent quite a few months at a previous company trying to learn solid edge, and never really got anywhere near proficient at using it
I have heard that inventor itself has a nesting program.
I have my own personal copy of Inventor 2023 here at home.
Can anyone confirm that.
Is it an add on or is it part of the inventor package?
How does it work?
Does anyone use it?
