Im trying to make a box with a movable top but cant figure out how to put it together

Pic of the Design

Box.JPG

the threaded cylinder goes into the oval (number one) then a bolt screws into the threaded cylinder from the other side (number two), Afterward the top should be able to move up and down within the oval and back and fourth.

Will attach the parts in a zip file

Use a transitional constraint for that "pin in oval/slot"

Post the updated assembly or investigate the existing constraints to determine which one is now limiting that motion..

Apply constraints just like in real life and you should be able to duplicate the movement in real life..

I applied a transitional constraint on that pin and slot and then set the top and the box to be a "contact set" and turned on the contact solver and it behaved as expected..

Try a new Box.iam. All other files are unchanged.
