Need help to start Inventor

After drawing in 7 for a few months, I have a handle on it. I work for an oilfield valve company and now I need to convert or redraw all of their parts in 7 from AutoCad. I was wondering the best way to approach this situation? Should I create spreadsheets for the parts that just differ in size and save copies of them after I adjust the numbers? Because there are so many parts, I would like to get it right the first time in order to save time and money. Any suggestions or links would be greatly appreciated.

It appears - iParts and iAssemblies is the way to go.

Cheers,

Igor.

Content Center, if it's only parts that you need, not assemblies.
