Need help modeling a sheet metal fireplace hood

I have modeled what will be a fireplace hood . Flue pipes will attach to the holes and the part will be mounted atop a firebrick masonry structure. I need to create a flat pattern so that this part can be plasma cut on a 2mm thick steel sheet and welded up. I would like a tutorial or sequence of steps to help me place rips on the 4 sloping edges and then create a flat pattern.  I tried doing that but then I can't place bends that allow me to flatten the part. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You. The flat pattern you have created is what I was trying to do.

This was my first time modeling with sheet metal .
I hadn't realized that the corner tool could build up the sheet sections that way.
