Need help creating elliptical wing.

Hi!

I'm trying to design a wing for a model glider on inventor, however, I can't seem to make one end elliptical.  I'm fairly certain I have to use the 'loft' tool, but I haven't had any success after at least 2 hours of trying.   I want to extend the wing's length, into an eclipse, whilst keeping its shape on the edges.  I'd really appreciate any help.  I've attached my file to show you what I mean.

HI,

Attached is an .ipt of the sort of thing you're looking for.

The file you sent over has a seam going along the top of the wing which was giving me loft problems, so i recreated the same sort of shape.

I've done this by free hand and i'm in abit of a rush, so that's why the wing looks a little misshaped, but if you spent abit of time on it i'm sure you could make it look perfect.

Anyway, the basic principle is to create a number of workplanes with set distances between them, draw a cross sectional sketch of the wing on each workplane, getting smaller as it approaches the final workplane, which just has a workpoint in the sketch. You then do a singular loft which goes through these sketches. To make the end of the wing rounded, go to the "Conditions" tab in the loft pop up box, then click the down arrow next to the sketch point and select "Tangent" or "Tangent to Plane" (it's set to "Sharp Point" by default), this should give you the curved tip you need. Just to the right of this option you'll see it has a "Weight" value, increase this to make the tip more curved.
