Multiple model states that use the same parts list in idw drawing.

I have a large steel frame that I created multiple model states for to show different steps in the fabrication process. 

I am now making the fabrication drawing and I would like to use the 'completed' model state to generate the parts list and let it be the only parts list and each model state references it.

When I go to balloon to a model state other than 'completed', it wants to reference a parts list to that specific design state and cant seem to find a way to make it reference 'completed'.

TLDR: Can multiple model states reference a single parts list?

Hi

Check the BOM settings under the gear icon. Although in the latest update it has been better organized.

Alternatively, you can use representations and hide elements instead of turning them off.

Didn't find anything under BOM settings that appeared it would produce the results I was after. 

That being said, didn't even think about representations, I rarely use them. Looks like I will be using them more, that worked perfectly. I was even able to just copy my model states to view reps.

Hi! The workflow isn't supported in Model States, though it is partially supported in an iAssembly.
