I am still seeing this issue in Inventor 2021. There should be a way to include multiple, concentric Hole and Thread features in one callout. For example, I need to drill a thru hole of .502 thru a part. Then I need to add a 3/8-18 NPT thread at the same location. There should be a way to include both of those hole/thread parameters in the Hole and Tread note without having to type them manually. If the model dimensions change I would want the callout to adjust accordingly. This cannot happen if you have to type out the parameters manually.
In the image attached, the 3/8-18 NPT portion of the callout had to be added manually. I want to be able to select/input those parameters so that they adjust automatically when changes arise.
Note: adding the parameters by using the Text... command does not fully work because the model tolerance does not get inputted.
Hi! I could be wrong but I thought there was a way to do that. It was discussed recently. If possible, please share the hole note example. Forum experts can help take a further look.
Many thanks!
The hole note example is in the image attached to my previous post.
Hi! Many thanks for sharing the image! I think I misunderstood the request. I don't see a way to combine Hole Note and Thread Note automatically unfortunately.
I had a similar issue. I resolved mine by adding a column in the thread.xls file to give me the drill thru diameter I wanted. Se how the 3/8 row differs fronm the 3/8 GD row.
