Multibody question

Hi guys,

I haven't done a real lot of multibody stuff, but am doing a little more with it now.

Just wondering though, I want to copy a body, and then move it to another position. So, this is how I've been doing it:

Copy Object and create a composite surface body.

Then use sculp to make it into a solid body.

Then use Move bodies to relocate the copy to where I want it.

But, this process doesn't update itself. If I do a change to the original body, the copy doesn't update. I have to do a redefine on it and reselect the original body for it to update. What am I doing wrong, or is this the way it's supposed to be?

Thanks for any advice.

Regards,

Ozitag

insted of Copy Object, use one of the pattern tools:

this video shows a solid being patterned to create copies

Of course. Why didn't I think of that. That makes the tree a lot neater. It gets rid of about three steps!!!

Sometime I wonder at how slow my mind becomes on Friday afternoons!!! Thinking about other things I guess.

Thanks a lot.
