Multi-item selection (shift-click) & Change size with content center

Recently we've had a few projects that require two different materials of the "same" part from content center. 

Is there a way to shift-click + Change size on all the ferrules I'd like to change of X size in 316L, to 304?
Replace all does not work because I want to keep some of X size in 316L. 

Shift-clicking and replacing from content center also results in only one ferrule being changed, or every ferrule in the assembly. Not the 5 or however many I had selected. 

Maybe we need a "Replace all Selected" button? Or do I just have some settings messed up?
