Moving Attached Balloon

Hi, everyone.

In drawing mode, I add another balloon to an existing one using the “Attach Balloon” option. Once it’s inserted, I can’t move it to the other side. Moving point is not available. A few versions ago this was possible. Is this a common problem or just on my end?

Depending on where your leader is there are some options for position that are not available.

Maybe you have multiple leaders and there are no other places for the balloon to go.

How are you trying to move it?

What version are you on?

Hi

This is a software regression.

For several versions, only certain versions of balloons can be moved.

Hi Robert ... same question if  may ... What version are you with ?

I have used 2020, 2023, 2025 and 2025, all of which have worked. Perhaps there is a check mark - un-checked ?

Is there any further update to your issue ?

Regards KJB

Hi! This seems to be the same issue as the following thread.

Bug in attached balloons - Autodesk Community

It has been reported as INVGEN-84411, which has been fixed on internal builds targeting 2026.2 update.

Many thanks!
