More crashes from improvements 2019.1.2

 I really wish you would stop changing the interface nothing but issues after issues.

I have never seen Inventor CRASH so many times than with 2019.

Another crash doing section view in model.

From what I can tell from your crash dumps they are related to an issue with your graphics driver; when was that last updated ?

I checked when I installed 2019 said I had the right one installed.

OK, but one of your crashes was definitely at the graphics driver level. I've asked the graphics team to investigate, but if I were you I would update the driver regardless.

Hi James,

I am not interested in your offensive remark. I am only interested in resolving the issues.  I took a look at the reports. The call stack seems to indicate it is related to "Qt5Core_Ad_5.dll." This is a shared component that several Autodesk products use. There are reports from 2018 also. This is not a unique issue to 2019.

It looks like you are able to reproduce it persistently. Do you mind recording a video?

Can you please do another attempt by unchecking Auto Fade in section view's mini toolbar?

Hi James,

The crashes you are reporting in this thread are not related to graphics card. They all go to the same bucket regarding UI framework like I mentioned before. The bucket has reports from prior releases also. We are still trying to understand where the problem is an how to fix it.

why are you so nervous, you have a lot of experience with inventor and know exactly, it can not all be solved in 1/100 sec. in the Forum.

Are you a CAD administrator in your company, or do you have a system house for Support?

 Just want to inform you client is not liking this new video driver.

Say he has more graphic issues in model and drawings take forever on view placements and section views in IDW take forever he said.

Here we are 2019.3 and the section view crashes are back.

Client did not try to reproduce, here is the error.

 

More clicks, more cashes, lets change the interface some more.

Yes, unfortunately 2019.3 didn't include anything to address that issue. It's still under investigation to determine root cause issues between graphics drivers & a QT component.
