Hi guys, I´ve been working on a project to creat an injection mold for propellers.

The problem is that I don´t know why I can´t add the mold base, please help me and thaks!

I´ve tried with different types of molds, but the problem still there.

Check the screen for more details, please.

What's your Inventor version? Inventor 2020?

Is this problem occurred for any molded part? You may place a simple box into Mold and then place mold base to see whether you can place mold base successfully or not.

Thanks,

Steven

Can you zip and Attach your assembly here?

First thing I notice is that there is an issue indicated for your Core/Cavity.

Did you not see that?

I´ve been working with Inventor 2018,  however I tried with Inventor 2017 & 2014 to  make sure the problem isn't related to the version. And also tried with differents bodies and geometries, but the problem still there for every case. Do you have an idea what could be the problem? Thank you so much!

Yes Sir I noticed it, it was difficult to make the cavity and core because the geometry of the propeller it´s a little complitcated, I accepted te proposed solution by Inventor because it´s better than the manual.

I tried with the version 2017 and the issue indicated for the core and cavity didn´t appear, but the problem for the base mold still there, so I think the problem with the mold base isn´t realted to the core and cavity.
Do you hou have an idea what could be the problem? Thank you so much!

I've only looked at the prop mold, but the core-cavity splitting needs improvement.

The blue spots are signals for mold undercuts.

I do not own a rar extractor - I use only Windows OS zip.

I would need to see complete folder - including the *.ipj project file.

1. Your zip file does not contain any Inventor part files (*.ipt)?

2. iProperties indicates that you have not installed Updates for 2018.

3. Your Project file (*.ipj) does not indicate active link to Mold libraries?

Thanks.

Can you post screenshot similar to the image that I posted above that shows your Libraries>In Use.

I think there might be a difference viewing your *.ipj file on my screen vs what you would see on your screen.

Also,

Edit:

Well, now I see your image - so I think you have the metric library.

I will have to do some testing tomorrow.

Hmm. IGS or STP files are no real help in this matter.

Try this:

- Do a Pack&Go with the Inventor files of the Mold assembly, without Design Data and Templates

- Zip it and upload it here

Hi Sir, It could be a problem related to the libraries?
