Model Tree Issues

I have a user who's model tree randomly collapses and he's unable to get it to come back.

The menu is there, but the nodes to expand it are gone.

This doesn't happen to every file, just more randomly he states.

We've updated him to the latest updates for 2019 and we've done a repair install and a re-install, even tried Inventor's Reset utility and same deal.

Ideas?

fyi - I get an error when I attempt to upload a screen capture of this.

Once I figure out that issue, I'll post the pic.

See attached screen capture.

For whatever reason I'm no longer able to upload pics, even of the accepted extensions, into the post body.

Does this user have any additional Inventor add-ins that are not part of the standard installation?

Is his horizontal slider at the bottom shifted over?

Monitor issue? .. Horizontal offset happening? When that happens if you adjust the monitor to adjust the horizontal will it come back into screen?

Graphics card issue? What about trying "Use Software Graphics" for a bit to see if it occurs with that..

@mcgyvr, another good thought. I've got the user looking into these as well.

Also there's a banner at the top of the forums indicating an issue with uploading common file types...   At this time you have to zip them up...    (LOOK UP ^^^^^^^^^)  😁

It sounds similar to what I have seen happen occasionally. I have seen a apparent graphics issue where the browser nodes disappear and the browser pane goes white. If I drag my cursor over the area where my nodes should be, they start appearing as I drag over each one. May not be your issue but, I thought it was worth mentioning. Good luck!

Cheers,

Todd

Hi Jim,

The behavior does not look right to me. It behaves as if all the drawing nodes are filtered. Does the user run any non-Autodesk Add-In?

Many thanks!

@Mark.Lancaster, sorry for the delay, holidays you know...

Anyways, the user does not have any Inventor add-ins other than that standard ones we all do an one in-house custom menu as does everyone else here. He's the only one seeing this issue.

Checked all his graphics settings, drivers, etc.
