Model parameter in text box on drawing

Hello, I have a drawing of 2 parts. I would like to add the title and part number (both taken form the properties - Model), however when I create the text for the 2nd model, using the note function, change the selection to the 2nd model and apply the properties-model it only apples the details from the 1st part in the drawing.

The bottom row where you are selecting your part only refers to parameters, not iProperties.

You need to have the different part numbers in the parameters window if you want to use them in this way.

One way to achieve what you want is to attach a leader to each part and apply the part number from there. This will take the top row part number as you were originally trying to do.

Then just right click the leader and 'delete leader' to create the text note.

I tired that, but the text box would change to the first model when hitting "OK"

I tired that also, the parameters get deleted when you delete the leader line.

I used a BOM table for each part.

Hi Sean,

If James' suggestion does not work, please share the example that exhibits the behavior. It should work. Or, there is a bug here. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!

Once you remove the leader line, then go back in the text box to format the text or add another line of none-linked text, the parameter link gets deleted and the text from the parameter is removed.

Say have the text centered, or different from the note font. Setting this before removing the leader, its gets reformatted to the template note text style.
