Hello guys,
Any ideas why in 2018 the axis, planes or any sketch projection goes now beyond limits causing the model zoom to get really large making the model extremely small to the point of losing it, then manual zoom to fix distance is required to have a decent zoom,
Any ideas what's causing this and hot wo fix it?
Appreciate any inputs,
Exemple of one of my models after creating some axis:
Thanks guys,
Eric
Can you attach a *.ipt file here that exhibits this behavior?
Sounds like your Work Planes are set to Auto-Size. You can RMB select on the Work Plane either in the model area or side browser and turn off the Auto-Size.
Hi! The work geometry's size is adjusted based on the bounding box of the geometry when Auto-Size is on. It looks like either there was a big sketch or big geometry at one point. Simply multi-select the work geometry in the browser -> right-click -> check Auto-Size. The work geometry should shrink back to the current bounding box size. If it does not work, please share the file here.
Many thanks!
This is part of a very large model, let me see if I can find a single part where this same behaviour is present,
Thanks,

Thanks,
sketch? model? part?
You have me confused.
Are you creating assembly level sketches?
Maybe right click on view cube and reset Home Position?
Doesn't take care of the axis length issue, but might take care of zooming extents.
Placing an Axis within a IAM file will cause the Axis to run the full length of the model. It looks like it's designed to extend out beyond each the assembly by a set amount for circular items within the IAM. If you place the Axis within the IPT part environment, it only projects beyond the part a small amount.
Not sure if this is a bug or just as designed.
