Model Creation Help

Model Creation Help
There is a type of shape I have to draw often. I consider it very simple but it always becomes very completed in Inventor. My current project is a Fluted Tucsan Column which I will mill on my CNC Router. The bottom third of the column is straight then taper down. The taper is not straight but is a curve defined centuries ago. I also do odd shaped domes which are similar in that there XY cross section only changes in scale. I will try and give a simple example of the type of shape I am trying to create.
Draw on 2x2 square centered on 0,0,0 on the XY plan
Draw a 1x1 square centered on 0,0,2 parallel
Draw a 2 radius arc on the YZ plan from 0,1,0 to 0,.5,2
Now what I want is a loft along the Z axis between the (2) squares with the radius controlling the size of the intermediate XY plane cross sections. IE if the squares where circles the shape I want could be created by revolving the 2 radius around Z.
A while back I did a dome for Las Vegas. I had to draw over 100 ellipses and loft thru them to get the correct shape. It should have been simple.
Any suggestion would be appreciated

Is this what you need?

Thank You for your effort but No it is not. I need all horiz. cross sections to be square. In a elliptical dome all cross sections are true eclipses. In the tuscan column I need to make all cross sections need to be identical to the original, base, but scaled down

Uh, you are right, they are not.
This is not perfect, but it's better then the previous one.

Thanks I think this may work I will try on my more complex shapes. I did not remember scaling the the sweep
