Mirror

I want to mirror the internal of this tank, so I have to model/constrain this only once. If I modify the originals side, I want the mirrored side to follow. Is this possible in Inventor? It should be, right?

I don't want grounded components on the mirrored side, because everey change i make in the original side make me do it all over again? Any tips? Many thanks.

Why not derive mirror it?

OK, I will give it a try. Are the constrains mirrored also?

Unfortunately no .. as everything is mirror to a different position in a sense. But it should be maintained in the main assembly and update as you update the original

Hi Johan,

Did you use Mirror Components command? After that, you may need to tweak the constraints or create Symmetric constraints so the mirror side moves accordingly.

Many thanks!
