Mesh Enabler Removing Material

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can help me get some more insight on Mesh Enabler. I was trying to edit an STL that I imported to Inventor and it worked fine. Then I realized to do any sort of editing I had to download Mesh Enabler, therefore I did. Now that I have Mesh Enabler, I am able to add things to the STL model but I am not able to remove anything.
Any ideas? Is this even possible?

Thank you,

Giovanni B. Lucas

Hi Giovanni,

Mesh Enabler is an Add-In in Inventor converting each individual Mesh face to Brep face (body) in a Composite node. You can right-click on the Composite node -> Repair Bodies. There you can delete unwanted portion or faces.

Another workflow to consider is using Mesh Mixer. Before you import the mesh to Inventor, you can import the mesh file in Mesh Mixer (free download at www.meshmixer.com) and then remove wanted mesh faces there.

Many thanks!
