I have some old ( and I mean ooolllddd) MD files and would like to open them in Inventor.  They are coming in as wireframe parts (fuzzies everywhere) and would like for them to come in as a normal solid.  I'm sure all the part would be 'dumb' solids but I would live with that.  Anyone tried this as of late?  I am using IV2017.  Any suggestions would be helpful.  Thanks in advance.

Take a look at this blog article.  I know you said you are using Inventor 2017 but you could, if the need is worth it, install a copy of Inventor 2018 on a 30 day trial and use the process.  There will be a problem also if you do this, the model will only be compatible with Inventor 2018 unless you save it as a SAT or STEP file to carry it back to Inventor 2017.  The other caveat to process is it required Windows 7 SP1 as the operating OS.
