Measured dimension between axes is not precise/accurate

On multiple occasions now, measurements for center distances between axis that are constrained to each other are not reading as true 0.000". They are measuring as .000000002" or .000000070" or some super tiny number like that.

All the part files are modeled correctly. They are very straight forware

See example below. The cylinder shaft is constrained to the ring on the front face. axis to axis. Measuring .000000080 center distances. Even more, when the shaft is slid in or out along that axis, the measurement changes.

Another example. These 2 are hole features. Counterbore and a thru hole. On the same axis. But when the center distance between the 2 cylindrical faces made by the feature are measured, they show that they are ever so slightly off.

Working in inventor 2020 btw. Has anyone ever seen this? is it the version of inventor? a bug? reinstall inventor? Is this normal % error that inventor outputs? Seems like 0 should be 0. It is very frustrating.

Thanks for the help

Have you checked to see if you have all the service packs/Hotfixes installed for your version?

Hi! I do think we have a bug here. The geometry is precise. It is the measure tool not reporting the precise value. We are investigating the issue but we don't have a solution yet.

Many thanks!
