Looks like the measure window is off screen.
Do you use multiple screens?
Start the measure command and press "alt" "space" and then "m" (move depending on your OS language)
Then press and hold the left mouse button and move your mouse.

Hi Ove.l

It's great that reinstallation fix the issue.

And could you recall what action you had done before you saw the issue last time? This will help us reproduce the issue and find the root cause.

Thanks,

Joyce

Hi, In Inventor 2018 it disappear once I put it on browser.
Then when I call the measure command, "it shows" in browser instantly but never come back again.

Please see the attach video.

Hi John,

I see the issue now, but it's hard for me to reproduce it.

Could you try to restart Inventor and try again? I'm guessing it might relate with docking the Measure panel to the browser.

After restart Inventor, please invoke the Measure again and check whether you could see the Measure panel in the browser.

If you could see it, please try drag it out of the browser, then drag it back to the browser.

If you could reproduce the issue from scratch, it will help a lot.

Thanks,

Hi Ove.I,

There is a solution without re-installing Autodesk Inventor. Please follow these steps;

1. Please, Go to Windows Start Panel and search for Regedit then open it

Windows.jpg

2. Please, Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder and open it

3.Please, Go to AUTODESK folder and open it

4.Please, Go to Inventor folder and delete it

5. Please, Then close Regedit and open Inventor finally try Measure command.

It should work.

By the way, please don't move, delete or do any other operation on other folder at the out of HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

I hope these helps.

Thanks

If you are still looking for a/the source of this issue, one of our engineers used the "Clean Screen" view function, and lost the dialogue box, and another engineer confirmed this causes the box to disappear when this was being discussed soon afterwards. The registry entry deletion resolved the issue and brought it back.

Cheers

Hi,

I've tried this method and it works however when I now open a model the visual style keeps defaulting to shaded instead of the shaded with edges? Can this be resolved?

Thanks

Hi,

You can choose the visual style of a model. It's possible in Display Appearance (Tools / Aplication Options / Settings).

You should apply your preferences (shaded with edges) and enable "Use application settings" button.

The pictures below show the configurations mentioned.

It should works.

Hi Everyone,

If you delete this registry entry does it reset any customised settings like the inventor reset utility?

Hi

I have the same problem, but I use a remote desktop so I am not able to access the registery.

Is there another way to get the tab to reappear?

Regards

Magnus

Try this: Tools tab, right click the white space on the ribbon, show panels, check Measure.
