Measure tool not displaying dialog box

Whenever I use the Measure tool it doesn't pop up the dialog box to see your exact XYZ dims, and etc etc.

It was working, and now I'm not sure if I did something or what. please help, I use this daily. Thanks!

For Inventor 2018, the measure tool is now a properties panel and no longer a dialog.  Is that what you are talking about?   Perhaps that properties panel got moved off screen.

yes, the properties panel doesn't show up. I tried seeing if it went off screen, but I can't seem to get it to pop up.

Hi! Do you have dual monitors? Is it possible Measure dialog is in the second monitor?

I did hardly have problems with disapearing dialogs when working on my dual screen desktop machine. Only from time to time when I accidentally activated a window before the popup appeared. Now I'm temporarely working on a colleagues laptop and the problem is all over the place. It's a real PITA. The setting that the laptop screen goes dead when in the docking station, and the dual screen takes over, is clearly adding to the problem. I've killed IV several times before I realised it was waiting for a dialog that could only be made visible by moving it with the ALT+spacebar hack. Why is it so hard for a pop-up to pop up as it is supposed to do ?

Hi Alex,

The dual-monitor workflows have been improved on 2020. On 2019 and earlier, the behaviors can be flaky unfortunately.
