I've just noticed in Inv 2027 materials and appearance browsers that I can't search for multi-word terms, the search bar won't accept "spaces"

The inability to use the spacebar in the Inventor 2027 Material and Appearance browsers is a known product regression bug explicitly tracked under Autodesk Incident ID 91674.

Why This HappensAutodesk recently updated the user interface components for the Material and Appearance browsers in Inventor 2027. This update caused a bug where the software stops registering the spacebar key within the text search and rename input fields, completely ignoring multi-word terms or spaces.

Immediate WorkaroundsUntil Autodesk releases an official hotfix or Update 1 for Inventor 2027, you can use these simple workarounds to bypass the issue:The Copy & Paste Method: Type your multi-word search phrase (e.g., Stainless Steel) into an external text editor like Notepad, copy it (Ctrl + C), and paste it (Ctrl + V) directly into the browser search bar.The Clipboard Paste Hack: Type the first word in the search box, copy a single blank space from any text, and paste it into the bar using Ctrl + V whenever you need a space.Use Single-Word Filters: Search for the most distinct single word in the material name (e.g., type Stainless instead of Stainless Steel) and manually scroll to find your specific asset.

If you are a corporate user, contact your Autodesk Account Administrator to check the Autodesk Desktop App or your Autodesk Account Portal for any newly released hotfixes addressing Incident ID 91674.
