Material Browser: Document Materials Problem

Why can't I access materials that are in the document?

I can select them from the dropdowns, but can't modify them through the Material Browser consistently.INVENTOR 2020 MATERIAL PROBLEM.png

The drop down include all library material.

You need to copy the material you want to change to the document first.

Was it in another "document"?

Material in document stay with the document.

You wont' find them in another document.

You need to save it in a material library to use in other document.

Hi! There seems to be something wrong. Try this. Close Inventor and restart it. Open the part. Go to Manage -> Styles -> Purge. Do those styles show up on the list of Purge?

Many thanks!

Restarted and checked Purge.

All materials visible there, still not in Material Broswer.

Hi! It looks like the styles are corrupted unfortunately. Please share the ipt file here. The behavior does not sound right.

Many thanks!

Hi Scott,

I am not able to reproduce the behavior. The long list of material styles is shown properly. I tried it on 2020.1.1 and also incoming 2020.2. I notice that you are still on 2020 RTM build. Please install 2020.1 update followed by 2020.1.1 update.

Many thanks!
