iMan, human model, making the back flat

Hi!

Here is a friend of mine – iMan, the model of the human which I found on the internet.

I need to make his back flat, like a plane.

I don’t understand how to accomplish that.

The assembly is attached

Thank you in advance!

What version of Inventor are you using?

(These parts were last save in version 2010.)

What happens if you Edit Sketch11 and make the spline flat for a straight spine?  (Pun intended.)

@JDMather , hi again!

I use inventor 2017.

What method do I use in order to make spline straight?

I have tried to remove the spline and put a line instead of it, but then I get an error.
Do I remove the middle point?
How do I accomplish this?

Thanks!

Thanks, there is no need to reply.

I have converted the spline into CV spline and then used the trim command

I deleted the constraint at the "midpoint".

Added a construction line from end to end.

Added coincident constraint from spline node to construction line.

@Frederick_Law

I didn't download iMike,

but it seems to me that iMike is an improved version of iMan.
Isn't it?

Thanks anyway!

Exactly that.

I used iJill recently as part of a workbench layout to check that controls were in a convenient place. When I went through the design with the operator, I had to spend the first 10 minutes changing iJill's hair & tunic colour until the operator was happy.
