Mass Moment of inertia on Bom

How do I display the mass moment of inertia on a BOM, I am actually exporting the bom and would like to use that as a unique identifier.

Hi Mark,

You will need to use Inventor API to access the properties. Here is what I found from our API expert.

"There are no dedicated iLogic functions, but using the API you can get a MassProperties object from a PartComponentDefinition or AssemblyComponentDefinition. On the MassProperties, there are two moments of inertia properties: PrincipalMomentsOfInertia and XYZMomentsOfInertia."

Many thanks!

Johnson,

Thank you for the reply.  Looking into the API, raised another problem. The Inventor SDK wasnt installed on my machine...  The saga continues..

Cheers!

Mark
