Mark Tool Is Not Selecting the Slash in Stacked Fractions

Hello.

I am unable to get the Mark Tool to select the slash in a stacked fraction. The Tahoma font is being used below, but other fonts yield the same result :

• Left represents no stacking using "Mark Surface"
• Center left is diagonal using "Mark Surface"
• Center right is horizontal using "Mark Surface"
• Right is horizontal using "Mark Surface Text Strokes"

Although the slash appears in the last example, it is an unacceptable option for a number of reasons. I am aware of the other workflows, but would prefer to use the Mark tool for this. I searched the forums but did not see anything for this.

Is there a setting I am overlooking?

Is this a known issue, and if so, is there a fix yet?

Hi! This is a very good catch! It is a bug. Somehow the slash is ignored. This is wrong. I will work with the project team to see how we can address it.

I found a similar issue with the underscore character. The character is highlighted when the text is selected, but does not get marked. I am using the same Tahoma font as above.

Hi! I just checked with the project team. It is currently considered a limitation. I am not sure if we have a quick solution here. I will work with the project team to understand it better.
