Hi All
The orthographic views of a weldment in an idw is usually very messy - lots of lines representing the weld,
and mixed with the lines representing the edges of the object itself, tends to make the drawing difficult to read.
Is there a way of turning off the welds in chosen idw views?

Hi! On top of the approach mentioned by Scott, you can simply create a Design View Rep and turn of the Weldment visibility. Make sure the drawing view is linked to the DVR.
Many thanks!
Thanks
I accept that as a solution, unfortunately the "accept as solution" button has vanished.
It worked in my particular case 1 (an assembly that only had parts inside it), but in another particular case 2 it didn't, the dialogue box was greyed out (an assembly that had a derived part and a sub assembly inside it).
Case 2 was the one I really wanted to do it in, Case 2 was the assembly with Case 1 inside plus the derived part.
How would I get it to work in Case 2 or get the dialogue box ungreyed out.

Is the view associative to another view that is controlling this one?
If so, uncheck that box to disconnect and allow control.
