Making a building in inventor?

We are trying to do a factory layout and need to see the walls (obstacles). We don's seem to be able to cleanly import the building 3D from Plant 3D so we are trying to build the building back up in inventor. We were trying to use the walls in the content center but they are either too long, too short, or not high enough. Are we using the right thing? Is it easier to just take a 2D layout and extrude the walls out? This will be a pain with all the custom doors and roll up doors. There's gotta be an easier way.

Info from Plant 3D is not true solids..  Its fake..  Smiley Very Happy

It sounds like you are using Factory Design Utilities inside of Inventor, is that correct?

If so, do you have the factory properties palette enabled.  That's how you interact with the factory assets.

Also a side note.  Walls are not in content center. Factory stuff is called factory assets and they are stored as files on your hard drive (or in the cloud) and do not exist in Inventor Content Center.  Insert an asset (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2017/ENU/FDS/files/GUID-4A5A35BE-7AE4-4EE5-9740-35B83B428920-htm.html) from the browser and modify its value after you place it.
