I can't figure out how to make this end loop attachment on the coil spring in Inventor, so I hope someone here will be friendly and help with it.

Can you use the Spring Generator Design Accelerator instead?
What version of Inventor are you using?
Are you familiar with 3D sketch intersections?

I have the 2015 pro student version.
I can't find the extension spring component generator when I search for it in the search bar..
I've used 3D sketch intersections a few times in solidworks, but its some time ago.

You must be in the Assembly environment to have access to the Design Accelerators on the Design tab.
with compression spring we can select the placement but i try with Extension spring it looks like there is no way to constrain it if there is please assist me

I have a spring in my hand that I am trying to reverse engineer, but for the love of me I cannot get inventor to do what I want, Inventor wants to do what IT thinks I want.... not what I want, so I am using Extension Spring Component Generator, I have input exactly what I am measuring, but it will not generate me a spring, got all red text in the calculation, I have frigged around with numbers, but I am going away from the sample I have.
The software cannot tell me I'm wrong when I have a spring in my hand......

Post image of your spring.
Indicate some of the easy to measure dimensions of your spring.
Attach the *.ipt file of your attempt to model the spring here. (you have not even stated what version of Inventor you you are using)
Hi JD, thanks for your reply. Im using Inventor 2023.2
Spring details: wire dia = 0.74mm, pitch = 0.74mm, Outside dia = 6.34 spiring height = 67mm, number of coils = 90, distance inside D loops 76.8mm
