I am trying to make an inventor part that requires using loft with rails. At first inventor gave me an error saying "multiple disjoint loops found in a profile section". Since it's my first time using rails and a 3D sketch (specially the spline function) I thought there was something wrong with my sketch, so I made a new part. This time inventor doesn't even allow to select my 3D sketch als a rail. What am I doin wrong? Here is a picture of what I have got.

Why are you using a 3D sketch rather than a 2D sketch for the rails?
Look at it from the top view...
I would expect these rails to be in a 2D sketch on the YZ Plane.

Hi! I personally would use Guide Rail Sweep instead. Certainly the other end of the profile does not match 100%. But, the result should be smoother. Please take a look at the attached part.

For cross-sections, consciously choose circles from sketches, not from a 3D sketch:
